Oh Dear
Oh dear, it’s been a month again and I’ve all but disappeared on you guys. It’s been hectic at Mia towers of late, but hopefully once Christmas starts to appear it will slow down and I’ll have more time to coherently place my thoughts to paper. (Well, not paper, obviously. But you know what I mean).
See you in a couple of weeks, lovely people.
Grace In Small Things – The London Edition
I went to London with Aaron yesterday, so I thought I’d do a Grace in Small Things dedicated to that today
I guess this more a list of nice/funny moments, rather than particular things, but hey it’s my life, so I figure I can do whatever the hell I like
1. Taking photos in the Tate and being told off. Rebel!
2. Sushi that wasn’t supposed to be chicken, but was.
3. Ridiculously large paper flowers
4. Trees with graffiti & the fattest pigeons in the world
5. Walls covered in snooker table felt
I would really recommend going to see the Pop Life exhibition that’s currently on at the Tate Modern if you can, it’s a lot of fun
101 in 1001 – October Update
Completed Goals:
27. Donate clothes I know I will never wear – finally clearing out all the old stuff I know I’ll never fit into again, or just plain don’t like anymore. No more baggage!
70. Keep on top of the washing – We have a new system, and it’s working well, so I’m going to consider this one done.
61. Do something memorable for my birthday – I did this actually, the trip to London is burnt into my brain, hehe. Next year I might try something a little different tho
38. Buy new perfume - Paul Smith Women. Mm.
42. No fizzy drinks for a month - I’m pretty sure I lasted longer than a month, and I actually don’t enjoy fizzy drinks that much anymore. Result.
68. Get 50+ views on at least 200 of my 365 portraits on flickr – this is completed and I am so glad!
86. Clear up my acne – you know what, I think I’m going to mark this done, because altho my skin isn’t clear, I definitely no longer have acne. Result!
That’s it for October, but there will be more coming soon
Sorry Kidlets
Hey kids! I’m sorry I’ve not been around, I’m sure the three of you who have this on google reader have really missed me
I don’t have a good excuse really, just a myriad of bad ones. The laptop I’m using is incredibly slow, I work two jobs, I’ve been knitting lately and I’m just kinda tired.
But, I promise I’ll be better. Not starting right now, because I’m about to watch a film, but soon
In other news, I had all my hair cut off, and I LOVE IT.
Grace In Small Things
WEEK TWO

1. Popping edamame from their shells
2. Making pom poms to recreate a pom pom scarf I’ve seen
3. Buying presents for mum&dad’s secret christmas gifts
4. The way Dillon rolls over for a tummy stroke in the mornings
5. Having a chance to use my new seethrough umbrella in the rain
Link Love, Round Two
Round two of the bloggers! (since I didn’t finish it last time, lol)
What Katie Does – Katie takes beautiful photos, has a gorgeous kitty and is ridiculously talented. A pleasure to read.
The Small Object – I’ve been reading Sarah’s blog for years now – she makes the sweetest things and has a really beautiful outlook on life
Not Martha – Not Martha is another blog I’ve been reading for what feels like forever. Megan (I think that’s her name!) is so crafty and ingenious, definitely a daily inspiration.
Everything Was Beautiful - The beautiful Sarah, who takes the most wonderful photos.
Degrees Latitude – Hi Jackie! The original blogger, Jackie has a fantastic illustrating talent, and a really sweet writing style.
Alright Tit – The delectable Lisa. The webs top Cancer Bitch according to Stephen Fry

Primark, How I Love Thee

1. 165/365 Vibrant, 2. 155/365 Taking It Easy, 3. 318/365 Grrr (bargains I have bought in Primark)
I love Primark. I do. I remember the first time I ever went, after reading about it time and time again on a friends Livejournal and thinking FINE, I’LL GO, BUT I WON’T LIKE IT.
Boy was I wrong. The first one I ever visited was in Middlesbrough, so it wasn’t exactly the greatest, but I loved it all the same. I went today to Lakeside with Nicola to pick up some winter staples – I love that I can spent £30 and come back with a myriad of fabulousness. In no particular order:

1. Make Up Bag, 2. Bow Brooch & Yellow Tights, 3. Giraffe Pants, 4. Swallows & Stars Underwear, 5. Flourescent Belts, 6. Reindeer pyjamas, 7. Skinny Jeans, 8. Veil, 9. Headband
I actually got two pairs of skinny jeans, one black one grey, plus two stripey jumpers not pictured. All of the above, for a mind blowing £51. (the belts were 50p each!) I love you, Primark. Don’t ever change.
101 in 1001
On the 1st of January this year, I commited myself to another 101 in 1001. The premise is simple, 101 items, to do in 1001 days. I decided to move it over here as I originally had it on my livejournal which I really barely use anymore.
Here’s what I’ve completed since I last updated it:
14. Attach flower holders to the wall – Completed June 2009
19. Clean the inside of my car – Completed September 2009
48. Get a cat – Completed August 2009
51. Grow a full salad (lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber) - Completed July 2009
81. Get a cineworld unlimited card - Completed October 2009
53. Try and journal more - Completed August 2009
